I’ve found a location in the hinterlands not far from the Aerie Peak where you can grind in a circular path and gain excellent reputation with the Wildhammer Clan and also get some decent drops at the same time. You can get lots of reputation without questing.
Here is where to go:
Notice the triangle above, there are three temples surrounding a small body of water. Each temple has 4 monsters which you can easily pick off one by one especially at higher levels where you create a smaller agro radius.
NOTE: First, before you leave, enter the complex at the bottom of Aerie peak and get the ‘Troll Necklace Bounty’ gathering quest, you’ll get lots more reputation and experience than without doing this and it is a repeatable quest.
Notice the red dots above (No they aren’t Hindu’s) This is where the monsters are.
The middle front, left and right are standard warrior types and the middle top is a Witherbark Caller who is a caster and sometimes summons a fell hunter.
I personally take them out all by standing in one spot right at the middle top of the steps as I am a mage and can Fireball them to death, they run to me and die at my feet.
Just recently I became friendly with the Wildhammer Clan within an hour or two by simply grinding these temples and the spider’s in-between in a circular pattern, they spawn by the time you get back so it is non-stop action!
Now that I’m friendly I’m going to grind to 6000 and see what’s next. Not sure, but rumors abound about alignment benefits with Wildhammer Possible flying mounts??
